Friday Focus: Awareness And Then Action

Published on 24 January 2025 at 11:31

Both awareness and action are so important when going about your day and your life. Make sure to be aware and then to take action!

Awareness is not only important for safety concerns, but it is also important to better yourself and the world. Being able to recognize evil, wrongdoing, and injustice is so important especially when it is hidden away or hiding behind a positive and/or beneficial guise. It is crucial to not forget history as well as our own individual paths so that we can weed out the good from the bad and take action to build goodness in the world and tear down evil. It is also important to be aware of ourselves, our feelings, thoughts, actions, patterns in our behavior, our values, beliefs, morals, and the people and environment we surround ourselves with. It is a good thing to take a step back and review yourself and your life. Then, action must be taken. You must continue the good and beneficial habits and actions and must remove and replace the negative habits and actions in your life. Action leads to change. If you don't take action, there will be no actual change. Once again, this applies to us in the real world. There are many problems and examples of cruelty, injustice, corruption, and pure evil in this world. Let us take action to change these things. Let us also take action to help anyone in need no matter their race, ethnicity, birth place, citizenship, religion, age, gender, sex, identity, if they have a disability or not, etc. Action is key, but awareness precedes action. Be aware and use your empathy and love to start up action.

Today's Challenge:

Be aware and then take action. Use today to make a positive change in your life as well as the world. Think about your day, how you felt, what you thought, what you did, etc. Do this before bed. You can also review your life as well. Writing things down in the notes app of your phone, on a document on your laptop, or in a hand-written journal are all good ways to put your thoughts down on paper and to recognize patterns which you can change or keep depending on their benefit to you and the world. Additionally, look out into the world. When you find injustice, try to combat it with justice, service, and charity. For example, if you recognize someone that is homeless on the street, acknowledge them as they are human and have dignity. Additionally, you can give them food and water to help them. You could also give money, food, clothing, etc. to charity organizations, clothing drives, and food pantries. These are just a few ideas. You could brainstorm some of your own too!

Ongoing Challenge:

Make being aware and taking action a habit! Giving should become a natural response for you. Think about today's challenge listed above and try to incorporate that higher level of awareness and action taking in your every day life. The awareness and action taking should not only apply to situations directly related to yourself, but also situations related to others and the world around you.
