Choose to be courageous!

Fear is a common experience people have. It is normal. However, we choose how we respond to fear. We can give into it or we can embrace courage. I like to think of my favorite animal when thinking about courage: the lion. I like to picture myself being similar to a lion. It helps me to see the good in me. It also helps me to see that I am courageous. You could think about different values or virtues similar to how I think about courage and lions.

 

Learn more about courage! You may started to view it as something desirable like I do. Being able to have courage in any situation, especially difficult ones, is a mark of a true champion. Courage also inspires others. It is contagious. 

 

Today's Challenge:

Think about something you have been fearful about. Choose to respond to that fear with courage! For example, if you notice someone sitting alone at lunch in school, you could invite them over to your table. Another example is if someone looks upset at work, you could try to talk to them. Even smiling at strangers is an act of courage for a lot of people!

Continue to respond to fear with courage each day!
