Friday Focus: Bring Back Your Inner Child

Friday Focus! Each Friday, I will be challenging you to focus on something. This Friday's Focus is bringing back your inner child!

Children don't worry as much as adults do. They are free spirited and love fully. Their curiosity and passion for hobbies reign free. If it is raining, instead of complaining and sitting inside, they run outside and jump in the puddles. They bring out the positives in seemingly negative situations. We should all go about life like this. Bringing out your inner child doesn't mean being reckless and unwise. It is instead being worry-free and living life to the fullest. Brining out your inner child (while using your current intelligence and wisdom to not be reckless) is wise. Your inner child can free you from the weight and burden of daily life, expectations, troubles, worries, etc. It can bring you joy, excitement, and vitality.

For me, I have noticed looking back on old interests and hobbies I had when I was younger and starting to participate in them again bring about this incredible amount of vitality, youthfulness, curiosity, and passion. It is not only fun, but also freeing from the stress and negativity of life.

Challenge:

Pick up a hobby you would participate in as a child. Be curious and passionate about it. Also, go about today as a child. Look through your younger self's eyes. View the positives in seemingly negative situations. Be imaginative, creative, and free like a child! Embarrassment is a social construct, so don't worry about that.

Ongoing Challenge:

Pick up multiple hobbies you had as a child. Also, implement the creative, curious, worry-free, and optimistic view children have for a week, a month, a year, and then the rest of your life.

Be open-minded about these challenges! You can do it!
