Monday Motivation: Stand Up For What You Know To Be Right

It's difficult to stand up for what you know to be right especially when you are faced with peer pressure. If we see something wrong, we must learn to stand up against it. Lifting up those who are "small" in the face of bullies is so important. This will train us in our empathy, compassion, and leadership skills. When thinking of this concept, I think about the definition of integrity that was on a poster in my old elementary and middle school. It was a quote by C.S. Lewis and it read, "Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching." If we live by this quote, we will be making a positive impact in the world no matter if we want to or not. Let's be courageous and embrace integrity!
