Self-coaching is essential to improving in any area of life.
There is only so much someone can teach us. In the end, we are the ones choosing to accept their help and to run with it or not. This is important to remember, but it is also important to remember there will be times in life where we will need to teach and coach ourselves. For example, in a sports game/match, if there isn't a coach there or the coach doesn't have time to give you coaching, it is important to coach yourself. You need to look at the situation neutrally and constructively in order to draw on your knowledge and properly coach yourself in that situation. Additionally, learning new skills can be difficult for a multitude of reasons like location, financial reasons, etc. Training yourself could be a solution to that.
Think about the best teacher, mentor, or coach you had. What qualities made these people the best teach, mentor, or coach?
The reasons you have listed out should be qualities you should start to develop as you must be your own personal coach at some point in your life. Some descriptions you may have of your coach are them being kind, empathetic, encouraging, supportive, knowledgable, they believe in you, and they push you to be your best.
Be your greatest friend and coach. (Be willing to ask for help and accept it when you should).
Love and care for yourself. Teach yourself. Coach yourself. You can do it!
